Life isn’t the same without a furry friend, especially a dog. While many people keep dogs as pets, not everyone knows about the suffering experienced by dogs bred for dogfighting.
German artist Jenny Jinya, known for her powerful animal-themed comics, sheds light on the challenges both wild and domesticated animals face today.
Through her poignant comics, Jenny addresses issues like animal cruelty in circuses, pet abandonment, and the harsh realities of dog fighting. Her comics, often called “tearjerkers,” leave a lasting impact on readers, prompting them to reflect on their treatment of animals.
In her latest series, Jenny depicts the heartbreaking story of a dog bred for dogfighting. The emotional strip serves as a reminder of the pain and suffering inflicted upon these animals.

Artist Jenny Has Released A New Strip Displaying The Cruel Practice Of Dog Fights
Jenny’s motivation for creating this sequel came from her concern about the unfair stigma attached to certain dogs in our society. Despite knowing that dogs are incredibly sweet animals, Jenny is aware of the harsh reality that some pit bulls are forced into fighting rings, where they suffer serious injuries. It’s also troubling to note that some of these dogs are taken from loving homes and trained for this cruel purpose.
The animals, expecting a loving family, are instead thrust into a world of isolation and brutality. The German artist admitted that the deeper she delved into the grim reality of the sport, the heavier it weighed on her heart.
