Ola Electric has launched its new Roadster electric motorcycle in India, with prices starting at ₹74,999. The Roadster is available in three variants: Roadster, X, and Pro, with different trims based on battery sizes. Ola Electric also plans to incorporate its own battery cells into vehicles starting in Q1 FY26. The company has introduced the Bharat 4680 cell, a new battery pack, the Gen-3 platform, and MoveOS 5. In addition, Ola Electric has teased the upcoming Sportster and Arrowhead electric motorcycles.
During the event, Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CMD of Ola Electric, shared, “Motorcycles make up two-thirds of India’s two-wheeler market. With Ola entering this segment, we anticipate a rapid increase in the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). We’ve already accelerated EV adoption in scooters and are now focused on expanding it with our new motorcycles. We will also start using our battery cells in vehicles early next year, aiming to drive widespread EV adoption across India.”

Ola Roadster X
The Roadster X electric motorcycle is equipped with a powerful motor delivering a peak output of 11 kW. It offers three battery options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. The top variant can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, achieve a top speed of 124 km/h, and provide a range of up to 200 km. The Roadster X is also fitted with a Combi Braking System (CBS), featuring front disc brakes and advanced brake-by-wire technology. Additionally, it offers three riding modes: Sports, Normal, and Eco.
The Roadster X comes with a 4.3-inch LCD display powered by MoveOS 5, offering a range of digital features. These include Ola Maps Navigation with turn-by-turn directions, advanced regenerative braking, cruise control, multiple riding modes, DIY Mode, TPMS alerts, and over-the-air updates. The motorcycle also features Digital Key Unlock and seamlessly integrates with the Ola Electric App for added convenience.
Ola Roadster
The Roadster is powered by a 13 kW motor and offers three battery options: 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh. With the 6 kWh battery, the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2 seconds. It boasts a top speed of 126 km/h and a range of up to 248 km. Riders can choose from four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.
The Roadster, powered by MoveOS 5, is equipped with a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen and comes with a range of smart features, including proximity unlock, cruise control, and party mode. It also offers AI-powered tools such as Krutrim Assistant, a smartwatch app, and a road trip planner. For enhanced safety, the bike is fitted with disc brakes at both the front and rear, advanced single-channel ABS, and cornering ABS with brake-by-wire technology.
Ola Roadster Pro
Featuring a 52 kW motor and 105 Nm of torque, the motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 1.2 seconds and from 0 to 60 km/h in 1.9 seconds. It achieves a top speed of 194 km/h. Powered by a large 16 kWh battery, it offers an impressive range of 579 km, making it the fastest and most efficient motorcycle in its class.
The Roadster Pro comes with a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, USD forks, and two-channel switchable ABS, along with disc brakes at both the front and rear. It offers four riding modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco) and two DIY modes.
With the upcoming MoveOS 5 update, the Roadster Pro will introduce advanced digital features like ADAS, three-level traction control, and integrated ride modes (Race, Urban, Rain, and Off-road). It will also include advanced race-track features such as Race Mode, Anti-Wheely, and Stoppie modes with MoveOS 6.
Ola Roadster Electric Motorcycle: Prices
Reservations for all Roadster variants will open on August 15, 2024. Each model will be backed by an 8-year warranty. Deliveries for the Roadster X and Roadster are set to begin in FY25, while the high-end Roadster Pro will start deliveries in FY26.
