Amber Fort (Jaipur) 

Amber Fort is a masterpiece of Rajput architecture, with its grand red sandstone and marble structure. The Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) inside the fort is particularly famous for its intricate mirror work.  Amber Fort has been regarded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with other hill forts of Rajasthan.  

Mehrangarh Fort (Jodhpur) 

This imposing fort stands on a hill overlooking the city of Jodhpur.  The fort is home to a number of palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards.  Mehrangarh fort was commissioned back in 1460 by Rao Jodha.  This rigid yet fascinating structure has been featured in many movies, like The Dark Knight Rises and Awarapan.  

Chittorgarh Fort (Chittorgarh)

Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in India. Chittorgarh Fort has a compelling history and is home to many great palaces. Chittorgarh Fort is spread over an expansive area of 700 acres with seven massive gateways called Pol.  It is also often known as Water Fort, as there are about 22 water bodies inside the fort

Jaisalmer Fort  (Jaisalmer)

Jaisalmer Fort was built in 1156 AD by King Rawal Jaisal.  One of the few "living forts" in the world, with approximately a quarter of the old city's population still living within its walls.  The fort is known for its yellow sandstone architecture that shines like gold in the sunlight, hence also known as the "Golden Fort". 

Kumbhalgarh Fort (Rajsamand)

Kumbhalgarh fort is one of the most popular and best forts in Rajasthan.  It was built by Maharana Kumbha in 15th century, after whom the fort is named.  This fort is famous for its massive wall, which is the second-longest continuous wall in the world after the Great Wall of China.  The fort's isolated location and its defensive design make it a sight to behold.
