Terms of Service

By creating an account or using The Awaken Buddha ("TAB", "we", "us") — on the web or in our mobile apps — you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. TAB is operated by House of Cre8r, 215, Galaxy Business Park, Service Rd, Odhav Industrial Estate, Nikol, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380049, India. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use TAB. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

If you are under 18, you may use TAB only with the involvement and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for supervising your use. Parents and guardians can review, manage or delete their child’s account by contacting us.

• We treat users under 18 as minors and apply the additional safeguards described in our Child Safety & Minor Protection Policy.
• We do not knowingly allow anyone below the minimum age to hold an account, and we will remove accounts we learn are underage.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. One person may not maintain accounts to evade a ban or to impersonate others.

You own the content you create on TAB. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content within TAB and in the features that make it work — feeds, search, notifications, recommendations and sharing. This licence exists only so we can operate the service and ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept briefly in backups or retained for moderation, legal or dispute-resolution purposes.

You are responsible for the content you post. You confirm that you have the rights to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.

These are the essentials; our full Community Guidelines explain them in detail. Do not post or do the following:

• Hate speech, harassment, bullying, threats or targeted attacks.
• Content that sexualises, endangers or exploits minors — this is strictly prohibited and reported to the authorities (zero tolerance).
• Plagiarism, or passing off other people’s work as your own; infringing copyright or trademarks.
• Spam, scams, malware, or artificially inflating engagement.
• Illegal content, or graphic sexual/violent content.
• Impersonation of other people, brands or TAB itself, and misinformation designed to deceive or harm.
• Attempts to hack, disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service.

We respect intellectual-property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content on TAB infringes your copyright or other IP rights, send a notice to our Grievance Officer (below) that includes:

• Your name and contact details, and your relationship to the rights owner.
• A description of the work and a link to the infringing content on TAB.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

To keep TAB safe we may review, hide, remove, age-restrict or restrict content, and we may warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms or our Community Guidelines. Where practical we aim to be fair and proportionate, but we may act immediately in serious cases (for example, threats to safety or child-safety violations). Where the law requires, we will act on valid legal or governmental requests within the applicable timeframes.

TAB uses third-party services (for example Google Sign-In and push notifications) and may contain links to third-party sites. Those services and sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

We work hard to keep TAB running well, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or discontinue parts of the service. We do not guarantee the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content posted by users is accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, House of Cre8r and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TAB and its operators from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising out of content you post or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

You can stop using TAB and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends, though some provisions (such as content licences for already-shared posts, liability limits and indemnity) survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory local law, you and we agree that the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to TAB. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the matter.

In line with India's IT Rules, 2021, complaints about content or your account may be sent to our Grievance Officer, Sauravsingh Tomar, at editor@theawakenbuddha.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use TAB after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
