TERMS
Terms of Service
The simple agreement that keeps TAB a calm, fair place to read and write.
Effective 14 July 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using The Awaken Buddha ("TAB", "we", "us") — on the web or in our mobile apps — you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who can use TAB
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use TAB. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your content
You own the content you create on TAB. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute that content within the app and in the features that make it work — feeds, search, notifications and recommendations. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept briefly in backups or for moderation.
You are responsible for the content you post. Only post content you have the right to share, and do not post anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
5. Community rules — what’s not allowed
- No hate speech, harassment, bullying or targeted attacks.
- No plagiarism or passing off other people’s work as your own.
- No spam, scams, or artificially inflating engagement.
- No illegal content, or sexual/violent content without an honest tag where allowed.
- No impersonation of other people, brands or TAB itself.
- No attempts to hack, disrupt, scrape or overload the service.
6. Moderation & enforcement
To keep TAB safe we may review, hide, remove or restrict content, and we may warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms or our community rules. Where practical we aim to be fair and proportionate, but we may act immediately in serious cases.
7. Our service
We work hard to keep TAB running well, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or discontinue parts of the service. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAB and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using TAB and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends, though some provisions (such as content licences for already-shared posts and liability limits) survive.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use TAB after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
